Trailer Brake Laws
Every trailer having an unladed weight of more than 10,000 lbs. shall be equipped with air or electric brakes.

Total length: 60 feet; trailer length: 40 feet; width: 102 inches (allows outside width to exceed 102 inches if due to an appurtenance and the state may exclude safety devices); height: 13 feet 6 inches.

semitrailer, shall, in addition to a regular hitch, be fastened by safety chains to prevent it from breaking away from the towing vehicle.

Every trailer shall be equipped with 2 rear lights mounted 1 at each side of the rear of the vehicle so as to show 2 red lights from behind, a white light to illuminate and not obscure the rear registration plate, and 2 stop lights.
